UK progressive metal project Divided by Design continue to push their creative boundaries with Stages to Osiris: Rebirth, a reimagining of their 2020 debut that refines its five-stages-of-grief concept with greater musicality, technical precision, and emotional depth. Hailed by PROG for injecting “newfound musicality into its technical excellence” and described by Toxic Metal Zine as showcasing the band “at their absolute peak,” the album has further been praised by Get Heavy UK and GAMES, BRRRAAAINS & A HEAD-BANGING LIFE as a powerful new high point in the band’s evolution. This momentum culminated in their biggest headline performance to date at The Drill in Lincoln, where the album was performed in full alongside a live string orchestra, additional keys, and expanded guitar layers , marking a bold new chapter in Divided by Design’s ambitious progression.

Since their inception, Divided by Design have steadily risen as one of the UK’s most exciting independent progressive acts. Guitarist Liam Stephenson and Drummer/Producer Tom Chambers have cultivated a dedicated online following, with Liam’s virtuosic playing amassing 38.8k followers, while Tom commands an audience of 55.6k followers, both amassing millions of views. In 2024, the band cemented their live credentials by winning the prestigious Metal 2 the Masses competition, earning a coveted performance slot at Bloodstock Festival. The following year, Liam achieved international recognition by winning the Ibanez Guitar Icon Competition, securing endorsement deals with Ibanez and Laney. With Stages to Osiris: Rebirth, Divided by Design channel this momentum into an ambitious reworking of their debut, reaffirming their status as a band intent on breaking boundaries while honouring their roots.
